Replace the AC vents when the louvers crack, no longer hold their position when directing airflow, or rattle when moved, since this reduces cabin comfort and hampers proper air distribution.

• Replacement sign: Cracked louvers, vents that won't stay in position, or clicking and rattling sounds when adjusted.
• Approximate lifespan: Depends on use and material quality; typically lasts the life of the vehicle unless physically broken.
• Install requirement: Best installed by a technician to safely remove the dash trim or vent housing without breaking the mounts.
