Replace the battery tray when you notice rust, corrosion, or cracks in the mounting base, since a weak tray lets the battery vibrate, damaging its terminals and risking acid leakage in the engine bay.

• Replacement sign: Visible rust or corrosion on the base, or cracks that leave the battery loose and shaking while driving.
• Approximate lifespan: Typically lasts 100,000 km or more, though repeated battery acid leaks shorten its life.
• Install requirement: Install after disconnecting the negative battery terminal, and torque the hold-down clamps to keep the battery fully secured.
