Replace the fuel pedal when the engine responds poorly to pressure or acceleration becomes jerky, since a worn position sensor sends inaccurate signals to the control unit and harms drivability.

• Replacement sign: Delayed acceleration response or jerky behavior when pressing the pedal, sometimes with the check engine light on.
• Approximate lifespan: Typically lasts around 150,000 to 200,000 km depending on usage conditions.
• Install requirement: Installation requires disconnecting the electrical plug and recalibrating the control unit on some models.
